Salzeider, Inc. collaborated with the architect on cost saving alternatives to help this "in-fill" development opportunity become a reality. The 8,000 square foot office project posed several unique and significant construction challenges. Utilizing their construction expertise, Salzeider, Inc. overcame the drastic changes in elevation, near zero lot lines, adjacency to residential areas, extensive retaining wall construction, storm water maintenance responsibilities, and need for public utility relocation
The final product's result? Close to downtown Rochester in a formerly zoned residential neighborhood, this building stands alone with unique architectural features and space planning expertise. Additionally, this project was timely and successful - space was leased upon the completion of the core and shell. Formerly a run-down site, 612 W. University is a key element of the local business community and enhances the neighboring properties.
