Salzeider, Inc.'s design/build services of this 100,000 square foot climate controlled self-storage building on a major thoroughfare required the latest features in self-storage construction. Beginning with selective demolition of an out-dated façade and the interior of two adjoining big-box retail stores, the building was transformed into two-stories of 720 rentable spaces featuring a new front elevation, addition of two elevator towers, and a pre-engineered concrete mezzanine. Customer features include a quick-stop loading lobby, secure elevator, and indoor loading/un-loading drive-thru with digital keypads for enhanced security. The staff area includes a manager's office with custom casework, slat wall, pattern tile floors, security monitor, and employee break room. Salzeider, Inc.'s detailed construction afforded the owner with a reconstructed elaborate façade and storefront glazing system, maximized gross square footage, and unique architectural features for its largest and most state-of-art facility in their multi-state operation.
